Advocacy and research
© Refugees Together for Social Transformation (RTST)
At MatchLocal, research and advocacy are tools to shift the humanitarian system towards greater fairness. We analyse funding flows, power dynamics and partnership models, and we translate these insights into practical recommendations. Our aim is to strengthen the voice and agency of local and refugee-led organisations in fragile contexts, making their realities visible to donors and international actors.
What we offer
Evidence-based studies and mappings .
Policy briefs and donor briefings on current localisation debates.
Facilitation of dialogue spaces at conferences, panels and roundtables.
Tailored analyses for donors and foundations to assess localisation strategies and accountability frameworks.
How we do this
Co-created: Local partners are not case studies but co-authors. We include them in data collection, validation and sense-making.
Accessible: We use clear, non-technical language that speaks equally to donors, policy-makers and grassroots leaders.
Action-oriented: Every output ends with concrete recommendations and next steps for practice and funding.
